Who We Are
We are a multidisciplinary manufacturing engineering and consulting firm that helps manufacturers solve complex operational challenges. Our teams bring together expertise across engineering, operations, facilities, processes, and technology to develop solutions that improve how manufacturing systems perform.
From early planning and analysis through design, implementation, and commissioning, we work alongside our clients to turn complex challenges into practical solutions that improve efficiency, reduce operational risk, and support long-term performance.
OUR HISTORY
Engineering Since 1983
We were founded in 1983 with a vision to provide world-class engineering solutions to our customers. What began with two engineers sketching ideas on restaurant napkins has grown into a multidisciplinary team of more than 225 engineers and professionals across North America.
More than four decades later, we continue to build on the principles that shaped us from the beginning while expanding our expertise and capabilities to meet the evolving needs of manufacturers.

Many members of our team have built long careers with DSI, with some serving the company for more than 30 years. We approach our work as a partnership, collaborating with our clients and one another to solve complex challenges and build relationships that last.

Giving Back to Our Community
We believe our impact should extend beyond the work we do for our clients. We are proud to contribute to organizations that strengthen the communities around us, including Gleaners, Sweet Dreamz, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Gifts For All God’s Children, the American Red Cross, and other charitable organizations.
We also invest in the next generation of engineers by supporting youth robotics teams and collaborating with Kettering University and other colleges and universities to provide students with opportunities to gain real-world experience and explore careers in engineering.
